Nossa terceira oficina foi sobre Desenvolvimento circular e sistemas alimentares e conversamos sobre o papel do poder público municipal para ajudar a fortalecer as iniciativas de circularidade como a compostagem, gestão de resíduos sólidos, o combate ao desperdício de alimentos, a forma com que se pode incidir na cadeia de produção e consumo, entre outros.

Para compartilhar sua experiência e trazer uma Pílula de Inspiração convidamos Andriele Martins, Secretária de Meio ambiente de Santiago-RS, para nos contar sobre o projeto Pila Verde – lixo orgânico que vale crédito para comprar em feiras agroecológicas – uma iniciativa da prefeitura de Santiago, no Rio Grande do Sul, que conecta diversos elos da cadeia alimentar do município.

A Chamada para o debate teve como tema Como governos municipais podem incluir a circularidade nos seus sistemas alimentares? e foi feita por Elizabeth Moura, Coordenadora Regional de Desenvolvimento Circular do ICLEI América do Sul. Elizabeth é graduada em Turismo pelo Centro Universitário Ibero-Americano, mestre em Governo e Administração Pública pela Universidade Complutense de Madrid e doutoranda no programa de Ciências Políticas, Administração e Relações Internacionais na mesma instituição. Ao longo de sua carreira, atuou em projetos nas áreas de gestão de resíduos sólidos, segurança alimentar, direitos humanos, cultura, mobilidade urbana, cidades inteligentes e planejamento urbano.
